Our handmade Africa Sling is the perfect combination of function, style and story. It functions as the ideal around-town bag with 3 small pockets and a main compartment large enough for a tablet. My mom LOVES IT

My mom was looking for a casual sling to bring with her on her travels and she has totally found it! It can fit stuff we buy at stalls while keeping our other stuff free and it is so brighty colored we are hoping it will ward of wannabe thieves. Bringing it to Sicily in a few weeks!

Our team is made up of some of the best sewers in the world; women (and a few dudes) who have survived decades of civil war and the extreme poverty that comes with it. The GULU Made team are a resilient and hopeful crew, and are the living embodiment of hope for a better world.
